KnowYourMeds was created with the belief that an informed patient is a healthier patient. Through KnowYourMeds advanced, patented digital technology, our app will guide and track your medications in order to provide personalized instruction about the potential interactions between your medications, your diet and lifestyle, as well as provide answers to any potential questions you may have about your medications. Additionally, KnowYourMeds maintains an up-to-date database with the latest published developments regarding medications, illnesses and side effects. We then provide you with the information specific to you.
KnowYourMeds was founded by Kim Shah, who most recently served as global director of marketing at Thermo Fisher Scientific. Kim has also served in high-level positions with Sciformix, Convoq, e-tractions, Micrografx, and IBM/Lotus Development. Kim holds a B.Sc. from Imperial College London, and an MBA from MIT's Sloan School of Management.

Millions of Americans take prescription medications; yet 80% of patients do not read the warnings provided with those prescriptions. The global patient population is as bad or even worse, given varying literacy levels.
It is typically only after experiencing a side effect that most patients begin searching for information. However, there is not currently one place to find or keep up-to-date with the latest developments - such as new competitive medications, new reported adverse side effects, the experiences of other users, new research, etc. For example, the FDA maintains a database of adverse side effects that is available to patients, but the data and insights are not easily accessible or understandable.
